It’s been proven time and time again that constructing a building with high environmentally friendly standards will reduce the costs of maintaining that building over time. For instance, a story on CNN showed one couple who spent $10,000 in environmentally friendly upgrades cut their energy bills in half.

Formosa Gardens Homes has taken green building to the extreme. We’re building to be certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as gold certified, a status that few people actually achieve. It means we’re doing everything we can to be energy efficient, reduce water, utilize renewable resources and more.

We’re currently testing our model home to showcase the actual costs of running the home, but we anticipate with the all the energy efficiency tools in our homes, the cost to operate our 7,000 square feet homes will be equal to a home a third of the size.
